I found out its actually not good to use cat waste right away. The urine isn't the issue really, it's the feces. Cats are more prone to having parasites and other undesirables in their feces and the only safe way to put cat feces in the garden is by composting for about 18 months.

anyway if you use a fertilizer from animal feeds
with genetically modified food, like cats.......
you may have a
non-organic fertilizer by extension , right?

Technically yes but I don't really care about going that far back. I just mean organic as in natural products, none of the man-made clay litters.

But from what I've found, cat feces are not safe even if they have a 100% natural diet due to the parasites within them.

Well though not the fence but taking some clumps of the cat pee into your large boxes keeps diggers out as they smell predator

Protein from predators is good for the soil. The pine however, does not have the lignin that is useful for the propogation of white aerobic molds we would find quickly useful in the garden, and in an unpastuerized state, e coli and other disease is a risk. Personally, I would pyrolyze the pine. The char would not only last indefinitely, but its propensity to absorb oxygen and nutrients and water would be amazingly beneficial over time.

I don't think I'd use this in the veggie garden, and if you have well water you might want to be careful. But I actually do use used kitty litter in the flower garden - not as compost, per se, but rather as a wood chuck repellent. Its pretty effective, though not 100%. Thanks to my 2 lovely girls Mina and Stella, I have a constant supply! Might be useful to gross out other small rodent critters like voles and etc. As far as I can tell, DH and I have suffered no ill effects, though when the termite guys come to inspect around the house I always warn them.
