We recently installed two 19" Restoration Hardware Harmon pendants above our 9' island. There are many similar choices out there, but we ultimately chose the RH due to the large diameter, extra rods for additional length and the fact that each held two 100 watt bulbs. If you want a smaller diameter, it'll be more cost effective to shop around.
