VALUE ENGINEERED DESIGN

When designing this home we aproached it with a reversed value engineering process. We started with the budget and every element was chosen based on meeting that budget. Some materials, and elements took a higher percentge of the budget, however while designing this home, the budget line items were looked at consistentenly to keep them on track. This method of designing does take much more time to achieve a excellent stansard. In every case the materials were inputed into the spread sheet to determine if they worked with the budget.

The design was truly driven by the cost of materials to meet the budget.

Value Engineering can be defined as an organized approach to providing the necessary functions at the lowest cost.
