Tomatoes gone missing! Totally baffled!

Hi - I have tomatoes growing in my back yard, and they have been doing relatively well. They are in a raised bed, about 2 feet off the ground. I had some nice green fruit on them one morning, checked back in the afternoon, and one of the largest was gone. I suspected birds (but it was plucked clean off), so I put netting around the garden. Checked it today and another of the green tomatoes has been plucked clean off. What could be causing this? There are no traces in the immediate area. I don't see any animal prints. Anyone experience this?

    Only the fruit is missing or is there other damage to the plant? Hornworms can decimate any entire plant within hours. If only the fruit is missing, and it hasn't fallen to the ground, you may have a very industrious bird or other critter with a good reach.
