I like you plans and your suggestions. What about eliminating the phone center, opening up that as your access to the powder/mud/garage? If you close the opening next to the pantry, maybe that could be where you have the phone center. While designing our home plans, I thought I wanted to do a corner oven, but found it took up a lot of space and I wanted more cabinet and counter space. Our cabinets will go all the way up to the ceiling also...

your idea of closing off the walkway to extend the pantry is good. That pass through is not necessary and you will gain so much useful storage.

Locating any appliance in a corner is a huge waste of space: maintain the wall ovens but move them to the end of the run near the dining. Slide the cooktop down to recenter is now that you have adjusted that wall of cabinets.

Extend the island-so that it is flush to the end of your perimeter cabinets.

Curved counter top overhangs increase the price of fabrication a ton- they also reduce seating space. Consider bringing your island back to being a rectangle with two legs for support.

also- going to the ceiling looks more complete: ask them about the possibility of splitting your upper cabinets into standard (36") plus an 18" so that you can get full height. Many people do the 18" upper cabinets in glass, but that will make your pricing go way up!

Agree with Sativa except that

1) I'd put the wall ovens where the current pantry is, so that you can have continuous high cupboards from fridge to wall.

2) I'd skip legs on the island overhand and use flat brackets instead -- no constraints on where you put your stools, and nothing to bump your knees on.

I always try to do them in the island, it can be easily accessed and no body has to look at it.

I agree that the wall ovens over where your pantry is is preferred, I just wasn't sure it you had enough depth to do this.
