Decorating around a "Safe" in a room

I am helping a friend redecorate a room that has a small safe BOLTED to the floor in the one of the corners in the room. It's also just inches from one of the walls. How in the world do I cover this up? It can't be removed, and is an eyesore, to say the least.

Assuming it's a low safe, can you make a hollow 5-sided box shaped bench to cover it? Make it light enough that it can be removed when access to the safe is needed. Besides covering up the eyesore, the added benefit is that it would hide the safe from potential robbers. Plus, they would have somewhere to sit to put on their socks. I'm not very creative, but creative people could probably come up with fun ways to decorate/paint/upholster the bench to make it fun and pretty.

That's not a bad idea. I'm not very handy myself, but I'm sure I can get someone to make something like this for me. Thanks for the idea.
