I don't know exactly what you are doing here but to me it looks unfinished. I would like to see some more of that tan color on the lower half of the house too. Maybe around some trim and around some windows too. it's too much of a blank canvas. And you need to put some more of that color on the bottom to bring it all together. just my opinion.

I think both colors are off and should be all one base color with white window trim. I prefer tones towards gray or grey beige for the siding. Leaving the window trim white is easiest. I agree with Putnam to trim the windows a bit more for contrast. Check out this Houzz article.

Painting the wheat the same color as your front door would look nice. a dark navy blue paired with the dark roof and the white siding would contrast well but look cohesive.

We were guided by a designer to break up the solid whiteness of the gable ends. we have done new siding to the front of the house. unfortunately we don't like the wheat colour. We painted the formers to match trying to tie in the camel colour to the entire house.

Now we are trying to come up with a colour that would look better. We are leaning towards charcoal grey. We NEED a new roof so are thinking black for the roof. don't want to make another mistake!

What about window boxes beneath the dormers or garage Windows?
