Hi! Congratulations on your new kitchen! It is looking incredible and I love the white on white look. By the size of your kitchen I would choose the first backsplash that you are showing because the diamond bevel may over do the little more simplistic, elegant design scheme that you have going. With a backsplash you don't want to overpower the room, but you definitely want a pop! By having that, it will give you a neat detail, but not over-do-it like the diamond bevel may. Hope that helps! I don't think you will go wrong either way. The diamond bevel does have a little more glamour to it in the way it will play with your lighting, however being that you have a wall separating parts of the kitchen, the elongated tiles in the other may also visually elongate your kitchen eluding the feel of space.

The first one is classic marble, much preferred. The beveled one is too busy, and as Jan says, will be outdated soon.

Prefer the first one (especially don't like the yellow tones in some tiles of the second!). Would like a pale gray glass even better, as it would help pick up the veining in your counter. Just my two cents.
