That's interesting research. I have a yard full of natives and do largely avoid the named cultivars (I like their term nativars too) as I've observed from personal experience that the pollinators in my garden prefer the natives (especially weedy natives) to the fancier selections sold in nurseries. If you have a native plum beside a named plum cultivar, guess which one they seem to like the most? With pastures full of native plants, it is a wonder the pollinators bother to visit my garden at all, but they do.
