I am not sure if there is protocol for a name given according to age of plant?

I think it is objective, depending on the individual.

I have thought that once they turn a 1yr. old, that they should either be considered a adult or juvenile, which is what I have called some of mine until they reach 2yrs.

In some cases once reaching 1yr., they are called a yearling and the onset of reaching 2yrs. old, they are called a long yearling. This comes from my previous equine history.

Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine.

I guess that when I order I try to see the age but most people call them seedlings up to a yr old. So when I am looking for a baby plant that is only a month or more, It is frustrating.

I can understand keeping the seedling age up to 2yrs because some plants grow slow or don't reach potential till then.

No one is going to ship you a one month old plant. It's too young.

If you want month old seedlings, why don't you grow your own, I would have thought with your location that would be the obvious way to go, surely?

I am so new at this and I am setting up different scenarios to begin my plans. I was looking at different age and types of Adeniums to play with. I have Just started a couple of A Obesum CX Kumantong, and wanted to get a few older seedlings, then the one's I have ordered from Thailand. I was given a link the proved helpful. They seem to have younger plants in all forms, I plan to try grafting since I have done this on fruit trees. I would love to Bonsai a few also.
