large extendable dining room table

Hello, I'm looking for a very large extendable dining room table. I like a weathered wood look, similar to what Restoration Hardware sells, but not quite so "chunky". Also their website doesn't have any filtering which makes it difficult!! The minimum size I want is 48" by 120", with the ability to expand even longer. Any recommendations?

I went with custom made for 48 by 72 with leaves that can be added to seat up to 22. It could have been designed for more leaves, that was all I needed. It was available in many styles and wood and stains, basically completely custom. Really very reasonable, I think. I am in Southern California. Where are you? Others should be able to help you based on your location. Let me know if you need more information. Best of luck!

Check out consignment/antique stores for tables that have a pull-out leaf at each end. The only problem I can forsee is not finding one that is as rustic as you might like.

We used Barn Furniture Mart in Van Nuys (part of Los Angeles), CA. It has been a family business which truly started in a barn in, I believe, the 40's. We went with the Amish barn floor character quarter sawn white oak trestle table with 12 leaves. Dark brown stain, many to choose from. Also a 78" buffet and just 8 chairs, as we already have some extra and could add more later. All made by Amish craftsmen. About $9,000 after tax. Still in storage with them while our house nears completion. You can Google them for more info if you are interested.. The owner, Leon, and his staff were incredibly helpful. They will send our furniture by their own truck to us in San Diego., but I imagine would ship elsewhere. I'd love to know what you eventually decide on. Let me know if any more info would help. Best of luck.

Hi cismontane - we're just starting our furniture searching in Southern California. Any updates on your Barn Furniture Mart furniture now that it is delivered in home?
