as to your pot... 12 inches.. average size.. doesnt really tell us much ... depth .. and room for roots in the heat of summer is the issue ... when the media will need to hold enough water.. for the number of plants in the pot ... depending on your watering schedule ...

IMHO ... that is what limits how many plants can go into a pot ..

unless of course.. you will be there every 4 hours.. to insure it doesnt dry out ...

all that said... one will work.. but it will take longer to fill and overflow the pot ... two will get you there faster ... and with 3 .. you might end up with the watering issues i mention above ...

Stirfry, Supertunias® have an incredible growth rate. One plant will easily spread over 24". Easily! In a 12" container, one plant will grow to overflow. They are quite amazing.

As expensive as they are, you'd be foolish to pack them together! :-)

I found ours at Home Depot, I believe. Any garden center that sells Proven Winner® plants will have them, but get them as soon as they hit the stores in your area....they don't sit on the shelves very long.
