Where should I put the bed?

I have an oddly placed window in my master bedroom. Unfortunately this is the wall we would like to have placed the bed. Can you guys please give me advice on how to overcome this dilemma?

Btw, we were hoping to buy a king size bed. Thank you!

i dont know the dimensions of this room, but beware of buying a bed too large for your space. it will look like exactly that, its too big for your room, it will look and feel cramped and there wont be room for any other furniture. so consider those things when deciding on the bed.

also, i was taught you shouldnt walk into a bedroom room and look straight onto the headboard. so the best i would think is put the headboard on the wall opposite the low window, so if you are sitting in bed, you are looking out the window. then that window can become focal point

The only wall that doesn't have anything structural (and the wall near the entrance has a door to contend with) is the wall with the window. A king size bed is 76", so basically just over 6ft. If that wall is 15ft. then you have 4 1/2 feet on either side. If you will be adding a dresser for example, 4 1/2 feet won't give you enough room. Your option is to not centre the bed, so you have more space on one side and I would recommend placing a small dresser on the wall next to the sliding doors and a narrow bedside table on the other side. Balance the back wall with art to counter balance the bed and window locations.

Put the bed under the window. I have a feeling it was designed that way. It is in the space where a person would naturally put a piece of art above the bed. This is better.

I was planning to paint the entire room dove white and install a shiplap feature wall behind the bed. The window dressing for the long window would be a soft off white linen and I was thinking of the same fabric for the roman shades with wide pleats that almost mimic the shiplap. Another option would be a "shiplapesque" plantation shutter.
