I actually love the back splash you have, especially above the range. It's very pretty and looks high end.

Personally I think that the backsplash works great with the flooring and cabinetry: the paint color is what isn't working. You need something with more of a brown tone: SW7032 or SW6151

And than maybe change out the pendant lights for something more decorative- like you backsplash.

The kitchen is open concept to the living room which is painted SW tea chest so we do have brown walls in the larger space.

The grey walls are off. Lighter and with a brown undertone will work without having to redo anything else. I agree about the pendants. Also, try removing the small accessories above the cabinets and see what you think.

The backsplash looks a little dated with ceramic tile. Any thoughts on glass or subway tile?
