The 3M option works as well as outdoor blinds that are made of PVC. they look like painted wood blinds. They won't mold in the shower as long as it is ventilated and not constantly wet.

We used the 3M leaded glass pattern in our shower in our last house. It worked great and gave you good privacy while still letting the light in.

For twenty years I used a mini blind in my window in my bathtub/shower. I also hung a
vinyl shower curtain that I cut to the appropriate size for the window. I had to the replace
the curtain every six months or so, but the mini blind only every several years.
Recently, we remodeled and I have the window completely tiled now in picture frame moulding. We then had our local glass and shower door company custom cut a
door for the window. It's similar to a shower door only it's fitted inside the window frame.

The door swings open to open and close the blind and to clean.

I would put a matching shower curtain over the window.....pull it shut when you shower and open it when you want more light in the room. You could even use a shower curtain liner. When needed, just wash them in the washer with a load of towels.

Half shutters - let the light in a the top and give privacy to the lower half of the window.

The frost film is best because you can frost only up to neck high and enjoy the view while showering . . .

Why must builders always place windows in a shower area. My old house had this problem,
also the window frame was wood - twice the problem!
Solved it as erinsean suggests with a shower curtain liner, worked a treat. Remember to wipe sill regularly if frames are made of wood
