I could see lots of white in the cracked pod, but at least you got a few. Good luck!

Don't be too disappointed if those seeds don't germinate well. They may germinate but the root may get mushy or the whole seed may turn to mush. I've had this happen when I got seeds that had a really large embryo which you'd think would be good!

My 3rd Fire Blade Pod x Oriental Lady (both Komoriya) only gave me 5 good seeds and two of them have that overly large embryo. They are soaking now but I don't expect much. Good Luck to us both, all you need is one good seed!!

Sad to update you all that my 3 seeds after 1 day shrinked and seems contained water inside, and when i press my fingers it's broken with water inside :(

I just harvested another papilio x santa rosa on the same scape, got 44 seeds looks much more promising. The seeds are small and thick, looks dried. Hope I can have some seedlings...

Wow...that's wonderful!!! That sounds like a very interesting cross and they look very plump and viable. Please let us know if they germinate :-)))

There you go!!! These look great and that should be a great cross, anything with papilio in it and maybe some of the pink of Santa Rose will come through too.. should make some gorgeous flowers!!! Store some in the refrigerator where they will keep for the better part of a year just incase a misfortune falls, you'll have more to try again!! Keep us posted on their progress!!

Thank you Donna and Fred! I have 1 more papilio seed pod with only 1 chamber, will ripe in next week. I'll update you, too. This season I pollinate 13 papilio flowers and get 3 seed pods, but the papi x lime flare as you know failed. I just pollinate 5 papilio flowers more and i'll update you later!
