I would definitely replace the door if that was my house. Maybe you could sell the door and the sidelights. I don't even know what style you would call it.

I would wait to see if you really do need to replace your door (a few months to a year). In the meantime, stain it or paint it a color you love. I was going to replace our front door since it is solid wood but to replace it would cost a fortune! I painted the interior side of it glossy black and the painters will be painting the exterior of it Fire Cracker red from Behr paints.

Please replace it. It looks like a one piece install, with replica ( a nice word for phony) leaded glass windows, not to my liking...do a full view, in the appropriate trim color, which relates to your windows.

Absolutely replace the door. There is nothing more incongruous than a Victorian door on anything other than a Victorian. List it on craigslist. Someone will be glad to get a great deal on that door.

A fiberglass door is very safe (as in burglar proof). I do love the look through the door space from the inside of the house that your door gives. It is not stained glass, but leaded glass. If you go with a fiberglass door I think I would do a double door with or w/o glass as you like.

Replace it now. Definitely before you move in.
