Gerris, what variety is that? It's so unique.

It is a mutant of Ipomoea nil that was isolated by the Japanese. It goes by the name Rangiku Ishidatami.

Here are a couple with no names.

If you're referring to the first one in the latest set of photos, it is 'Azumashibori', and it is an Ipomoea nil.

Here is a no-name Ipomoea nil with pleasant pink flowers and heart shaped variegated leaves.

Pink and blue Ipomoea purpurea not really a Japanese cultivar.

Here is a sterile mutant Ipomoea nil morning glory flower showing a nice split petal bloom.

Here is a cute one that bloomed recently.

all those split flowers are terrific!!! Trying to collect them now in trading with others. Love speckled and doubles and splashed colored blooms.

Unfortunately the pinkish split petal MGs are from a strain that didn't make seeds and I don't have enough left to share. I may have seeds of the blue split petal, called Isidatami. I'd have to hunt for them.

That blue one is terrific!! But dont go nuts to hunt for seeds. IF you come across them,maybe we can trade seeds??
