So is the style contemporary or exotic?

It depends on your style. The oil rubbed bronze always seems a little rustic to me, but the shape of the Moravian Star is pretty geometric and could go in a modern space. Here's a couple of ideas:

I'd suggest saving some pictures of sconces you like, plus a good image of the star pendant and compare them side by side or make a little mood board and see what works.
