Love the iron spindles.
You will have cleaner lines by adding flexible or accent molding that frames the outside stringers.
When you look at other staircases on this site, take a closer peak at their sides.

I would paint the end posts black.

Perhaps you could paint a black damask stencil on the risers and then paint the treads black.

I would paint the riser portion only of the stairs black. It would compliment the beautiful black spindles.

I think they look nice just as they are.

I think you can save yourself the painting by accenting your walls with beautiful art framed in black or the color of your floors. What a great gallery wall they would become. It brings the darkness up and balances both colors! Pamela Tamkin Soaring Interiors

I agree with Soring Interiors. You need to incorporate black or floor color on that wall to balance out both sides. The left side has all the dark colors. It will tie it all together :)

I would paint the treads black. I would also paint the endpost black with the exception of the spindle part. There are many images here on houzz painted in a similar manner. Just search for "black and white stairs." Hope this helps. :)

I like the idea of black risers and the black end spindle. :) Pretty entryway no matter what! Love these stairs.

How about painting the posts and handrail black, then add black framed artwork or pictures to the wall.

I like them stained either black or some other dark stain like this

Dark spindles require darker steps and hand rails.Match the treads to your floors.
