This is a question you should take to your local nursery. Ask for plants that have tubular flowers, which bees usually avoid, and also red blooms, which bees can't see. Fuchsia is a good bet. Also geraniums.

It's important to remember that native bees do not sting—they nest in the soil and live solitary lives. If you learn a bit about the bees that are local to your area, you'll find you have less to worry about than you think.

Just google a list of plants bees love and avoid those plants. In my opinion it is a myth that any plant is a successful mosquito repellent over a large area. I go in when I see the first mosquito, or the first bat.

Best way to keep mosquito population down is planting flowers that attract hummingbirds, which eat mosquitos. So find plants with tubular red flowers, and of course, hummingbird sage (salvia spathacea).
