Not sure about the double Nasturtiums, but I had some beautiful red Nasturtiums on my porch last year, and the Hummers just loved them. I think the double ones would be fine.

Make sure the flowers have spurs - that`s where the nectar is - a lot of the newer varieties are spurless and therefore are not suitable as a hummingbird plant.

Supposedly the Empress of India nasturtiums attract hummingbirds. I could not verify because the seeds I planted didn't seem to germinate. I just got a bunch of the other regular nasturtiums.

Thanks, guys. That's a really good point about the spurs, shillanorth. I can't tell from Burpee's photo, but Google brings up several sites that describe the variety as having spurs. I have emailed the question to Burpee's, just to make sure
