Affordable flooring

Bought our home few years ago. Around 3000 sqFt. Have oak in foyer, hall and decent size kitchen. All other is carpeted in that beige builder stock carpet.....Including the master bath!!!!! Soooo expensive for new carpet and I am not convinced everywhere or anywhere needs carpeting. Cost effective options? Thanks!!!

Also am willing to consider getting rid of oak floors with right idea to tie it all together. However, carpet MUST stay in master bath. So great looking(said no one ever). ;)

Why do you have to keep the masterbath carpet. You could use a ceramic tile that looks like stone but cheaper. Also houses always flow better when the flooring is not chopped up by using different flooring in each room speacially if the rooms connect like your kitchen and familyroom. Thanks. I agree about the choppy look but just unsure what to do with all of these floors. That is why I said I would consider getting rid of wood floors. Totally kidding about master bath carpet. I want to rip it out daily with my bare hands!!! Also, no young children, no pets. Just a grand baby 1-2 x per week.
