Crispy Wave Fern doesn't look good :( help!

After my fern got sunburnt, the leaves never recovered and the plant has continued to look on the brink of death. The edge leaves appear to be drying out which doesn't make sense since I've moved it a good 5+ feet from the south and west windows. When I repotted it I may think I packed the soil in too tight for the soil to drain. I was worried about root rot so I have the plant out but I don't think there is any. How do I repair the damaged leaves or how do I prune them? I really want to save this plant and see it's leaves perk up again like they did when I bought it :( Also, there are tiny white specles on the leaves. What might that be? They are in the pictures.

Give it some SuperThrive. Seriously, I have brought plants worse than that from deaths door with that stuff. A little goes a long way. Sold at the big box stores and Walmart.

Okay :) Should I buy a generic liquid fertilizer for it as well?

I would use palm fertilizer if its a fern. Something like this. Link

It looks like it may have some kind of pest. I would encourage you to ask about this plant in the garden clinic forum &/or house plant forum.

Every photo of this plant you have posted has it in a ceramic pot- one photo it looks like a nursery pot set into a ceramic pot, and here I see just the ceramic pot. One photo even has the pot sitting on wood with no saucer underneath.

So I have to ask- does this plant have sufficient drainage so that it is never sitting in any water? If water does not freely and completely drain out of the pot it is in you will have trouble like you describe.
