Powdery Mildew control

I finally ot hold of Topaz - penconasol - it s a systemic fungicide that takes care of Powdery mildew. I was using it for years - one spray - and it was enough for half a year, sometimes for a year. Syngenta makes it - so it is made in Switzerland, but it was factory repacked in Ukraine to use in the private gardens - roses, cucumbers... whatever gets hit by a mildew - it is permitted to use on food crops.

The guy sends instructons in English. 4 pouches - each is to be dissolved in 2.5 gallons of water - that's the concentration I use. They are not resealable - and the solution is probably only good immediately after mixing. I add several drops of Ivory or Down dishwashing liquid to help to stick better. The shelf life is 3 years One pouch comes to be $4, it is 6ml - so if the teaspoon is 5ml - you can figure out if you need less solution - like 0.5 ml per quart of water. I would cut the corner of the pouch use a dropper to get a small amount out - and try to seal the cut with scotch tape - but no guaratee if it holds.

LIke with any pesticide, fungicide etc - and this one is a very low danger to humans and pets - work with gloves, respirator and long sleeve shirt. Cover the fish tanks if you have any, I usually spray my plants in the garage - get the car out, bring the trays with plants - and spray until they are soaked. Let them dry and bring them back.
