I have bermudagrass planted in my front lawn (I have no idea why since I live in Virgnia). I have researched these weed-looking things growing in my front yard before the rest of the grass grows in and it turns out to be actual bermudagrass (same as the grass that grows?). I don't quite understand how bermudagrass can be a weed and a grass. It seems to be growing out like a weed in sections of my lawn before the rest of the grass comes in. Can anyone provide some insight on this grass/weed and if it is separate from the grass that grows in when it warms up or if I need to kill it? There are two photos included. One shows the weed/grass that is growing everywhere. The second shows the front yard where most is still brown and the rest have the weeds/grass growing on the left.
