New shelving!

It didn't occur to me to take a "before" picture, but I went to a thrift store hoping to find a way to get more vertical shelving for my plants, and I found a baker's rack, and a smaller glass-shelved set of shelves that stacks nicely on top of it, and things are much more accessible than "before." I expect this will get more plants better light conditions than previously, too. The window faces south, but there's a tree outside that will shade it from around midday on, so things shouldn't get too crispy in the summer.

I'm toying with moving the rack to the left side of the window, and moving my ficus benjamina (on the shelf on top of the blue cooler - hidden by cordyline in this photo) and the cordyline to the wall, so they'll be more directly in front of the window . . . I'm just concerned that would leave all the plants on the rack with too little light, even though a lot of them are "medium" or "low" light plants (mostly marantas, calatheas, hoyas, dracaenas).

Anyway. I'm more pleased with this than the previous solution (which was one shelf along that wall, and the cooler-supported shelf in front of that - it was hard to reach through/around the cooler shelf to reach the plants up against the wall.

This isn't going to work for a couple of the plants for much longer: there's a big hoya and a young monstera obliqua I want to set up with trellises, so they will need new homes once it gets to repotting season.
