I found this growing in an odd spot in the yard of a house I used to live in. It was a 120 year old house and could have been there for a long time. It blooms in early spring about the same time as the daffodils. After 2 or 3 weeks it completely dies down to the ground, foliage and all, until it comes up again next spring. I've had it a long time and have not moved it or divided it for almost 10 years, although, I'm going to soon because there are some white garlic chives starting to invade its space. In this time it has not spread or grown larger, but has grown very reliably every year. It's not a bulb, it has regular looking roots. I have no idea what it is. Any help i.d.ing this would be appreciated.
