I had great luck beheading and repotting some AVs in the last few months due to amazing advice here.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced fasciated stems. Is this an indication of problems (fertility, soil composition, water availability, etc.)? I've been keeping the soil moist but not wet and fertilizing at 1/3 - 1/2 recommended dose every third watering.
I'm planning to behead and repot this particular AV this week or perhaps even this evening as it's finally reached the end to its bloom period. Most of its newer leaves are fasciated.
Is there a particular precaution I should take? I'm just not sure if fasciation is a sign of stress rather than a neutral occurrence. Thanks much in advance!
