Growth tip on sarracenia died

So in ordered a random sarrencia rhizome from California Carnivores in December. It came dormant with one growth tip and a long, bare rhizome. I cut the rhizome in half because otherwise the plant wouldn't fit in the pot properly. This is what it looked like originally:

I made the mistake of letting the potting media dry out slightly before wateting again before I realized that sarracenias need to sit in water constantly.

Unfortunately the realization came a little late and the growth tip had slowly been whithering away for weeks. But I've noticed nodes on the rhizomes today, so is there still hope?
