For practicality sake, I would choose one of the lighter colors. The dark color is beautiful but will show dust really bad. I kinda like the light color with some dark streaks in it.

go with the light. Dark will show every speck of dust, lint & thread. You will be so happy with one of the lighter floors.

The top left flooring will be the best choice for hiding dirt, dust, etc because it's overall a very light floor but has enough darker brown/gray in it to not show dark dirt like tracked in mud (not that you'd actually track in mud). It's light enough to hide dust which is very important -- you'd be miserable with the dark floor. I think it blends well with your cabinetry choice. I'm not a fan of your white tile, but since the flooring in question will go upstairs it's not as important as to whether it blends well with the tile downstairs or not.

I would do either the top left or top right (in first pic), either would look great with cabinet finish. Keep in mind that dark floors show everything, so unless you sweep your entire house daily you may want to opt for the lighter options. (Please don't think I'm a slob but it's just the hard truth with dark colors)

Whatever wood you choose for the staircase should continue throughout the upstairs. After you make that decision, you choose paint colors.

I agree with many of the previous comments. Top left would be my pick. The dark show dirt. I also agree that you paint your walls a color that is not white. Modern can mean warm colors. Use the white for base boards and doors. Let it pop the wall color for a clean look.
