Today's blooms ... April 6

I'm on the midst of a dang influenza bout. I hate being sick. Was feeling a little better today, so I went to work at my shop. Before I left, got these pics in the morning. Wanted to go out this evening and check more ... but I'm back to the chills and body aches. Even tho it's probably close to 70 degrees out, I'm sitting here shivering and freezing!! This is actually worse than the Swine flu I had back in what ... 2009.

Anyway... here's what I got pics of this morning...

Thanks everybody. Well, I'm not getting any better. I'm going to the doctor today. I might have pneumonia. I have asthma and am always susceptible to it. One of our customers who lives behind our craft shop, came in last week in the midst of having strep throat and pneumonia and I'm sure I got it from her. She's a sweet little old lady who is raising her great-grandson, and he had strep throat earlier. She got it and got deathly ill. Why in the heck she had to come in to visit us while she was still sick, I don't know. But she coughed in front of me, about 4ft away. And at the time I thought to myself, damn I hope I don't catch this from her! Sure enough... I got it and my son got it 2 days after me, only not as bad. What makes it worse is my son takes care of my 97yr old mom when my niece (who lives with her) works at the shop. So, he can't go over there til he's better because we don't want my mom getting sick. And we don't have anyone else to help out, so we have to keep our shop closed til one of us gets better. My niece can't leave my mom alone because she's bedridden and has dementia. So it puts us all in a bad situation. I shouldn't have gone to the shop yesterday. I exposed our customers who came in to it. I feel bad now.

Hope you will feel better soon Beth. I wonder if something in the air that causes it. Many people in my company including me got sick recently too. Many of us had to take antibiotics.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses' pics. They are even more precious because they were taken while you are sick. Helen

Do hope you and your son are better soon, what a bummer. Your roses are lovely BTW. Magic East is one I've never heard of, very pretty! Love Perfect Moment too!

Thanks you guys! Well, thankfully no pneumonia. Doc said it was just a bad virus. I'm feeling a little better, but still have a cough. Still not sleeping well, but it's gonna take awhile to get over it. My son is still having alternating chills and cold sweats. He's a few days behind me.

Lots more blooms opening up, so hopefully will have more pics later...

I'm sick too. I hate being sick. I'm not as bad as you and your son. Hopefully things get better for your whole family. Dementia is a difficult disease to cope with.

As to the roses - they're gorgeous!! Brass Band, Herfla and Dream are tempting me. Wow!
