The stool is Bernhard from Ikea. Having researched a number of stools, this worked the best with a base back rest, a height so it didn't go above the Island height - rather than a bar stool - but, still had enough comfortable knee room. The slim chrome legs were less obvious than if wooden legs had been used since there are 4 of them around the Island!
