Rodent deterrent groundcover I

I need a rodent resistant gr-cov for my south side sloped front yard in SLC Would burgundy ajuga be ok? Are there any other kinds of gr--cov for that address this rodent problem? Also would gr-cover be ok for a large parking strip? Needs to be salt resistant. Thanks!

What exactly do you mean by "rodent resistant"? They won't eat them? Or that won't make an appealing habitat?

Ajuga, pachysandra and vinca all tend to be unappealing to bunnies but voles or gophers can bother just about any plants. Dense, evergreen groundcovers - like English ivy - tend to be appealing to rats for setting up housekeeping.

Have no idea where SLC is so not sure what might work best for your area but ajuga has a wide range of adaptability (zone 3-9) and is moderately salt tolerant.
