He indicated it could take him that long, has to supervise workers to add the beam to add addition to house and get permits with township?

He sent me the contract, I am thinking of not using him at all. I thought it would be around 1- 2k?

I am single and construction men tend to not like dealing with single women. I am getting a pool and went with contractor who is very good with me and on target with costs from my research.

One company was terrible.. Of course I did not deal with them. Where is the man of the house? They asked??? Ok, I am ranted!!!

Have you tried a company that just builds sunrooms? They would not be that expensive. Here is a company that builds sunrooms in more areas than where I live:

5-8,000 for a sun room addition seems really low to me, I guess it depends on your area of the country. I would expect to spend that to enclose our porch where there is an existing deck over head and no roof/ house work to do at all.

The sunroom would be around 20k to 30k for 14 x 24... Which depends on finishes, what type of windows, flooring, fireplace, etc.

5- 8k is for the plan from the architect... Which is crazy!!!

I live next to you in Ohio and that is too high! I would go somewhere else, like a well known company with a good rep in your area.

basic sunroom with 2 walls of window and may add a steel roof? I should check with Amish, they are hard working and honest.

Do you have Champion in your area? They are a reputable company that has been around for many years and they build sunrooms.
