I had hoped to put an inter stem of bud9 on a antonovka rootstock. When I recieved my supply order the bud 9s where large and the roots where small. Could I reverse the cleft? I mean cut the rootstock to a pointed wedge, and split the bud 9 scion and tape it up? Obviously,keeping the buds pointing up. The roots are about 3/16ths, with the scion being about 9/16ths. Anyone try this before? Are there any other option to get these connected?
