New arrivals!

With the return of the warm weather, of course comes the return of boxes packed generously full of plants and cuttings. Was most fortunate this week to recieve two of these! Sorry for the not so great photos, and the photo bombers in the background.

These came from Denise. The one on the left is Hoya inconspicua, the new arrival is the piece in front. The rest came from her last fall, I just wanted one more cutting to help fill the pot out. The ones from November are growing like crazy, and the new cutting has a fork to it. Once it roots, this is going to be a nice little plant! The one in the back is H. australis sp tenuipes and much bigger than the picture suggests. I am planning on putting a trellis on the wall in my "sun nook" in hopes of it going wild. The adorable little fellow is a crazily well rooted start of fasciated Dischidia acuminata. I suspect it will take of like a bomb this season, it sure has the root structure for it!

These guys are from Jan and arrived today. On a side note, I quit smoking today and getting these in the mail today melted all the withdrawal stress to a vague memory. :) Jan surprised me, I was expecting a bit of H. curtisii, not a mountain. And I definitely was not anticipating H. diversifolia or another cutting of H. australis "Mrs. G". I adore Mrs. G and bought a cutting of it and several ithers from Jan last summer, happy to have a bit more now for good measure! Just.... all the warm and fuzzies. :)

Fingers crossed the H. curtisii roots as well as it did last time. Have it in perlite, didnt have miracle grow brand this time (an unfertilized type) so watered it with Tappin Roots mixed to cutting strength. Eventually they will join my established cutting curtisii cuttings. Mrs. G will be joining my other one once rooted also, I decided to root separately because of how much sun the established version is getting. As for the H.diversifolia, that one got my regular mix. Once rooted I will deop it into a cache pot and grow it hanging style.

Huge thanks to both Denise and Jan!!!
