You don't match either. You coordinate them. The colors need to relate well, but matching is a typical amateur design mistake.

You've never seen the zillions of angst laden posts because ether sea of oak cabinets and trim didn't 100% exactly match the new floor that was being done? Lot's of people want everything the same mud-tone beige too. Or, dirty snow gray. In my experience, people literally DO mean ''match''. Because they don't understand any other design concept except matching.
