Maggie Spry you sure have some will power, I would have bought that Adenium the second I laid eyes upon it. It has a great shape and would be perfect for Bonsai training. Good luck with it.

Maggie, that's a great looking tree you have there, you're all so lucky to be able to buy Adeniums in your stores! I would carefully trim those small root remains on the centre and left hand side flush with the caudex using a sterile sharp knife, just for a 'cleaner' look to him. I personally don't think it's a graft, just where part has been buried IMHO. Super find :)

I love it! The roots always just blow me away on these plants. I had one that I grew from a cutting, so it had no caudex. Still, when it started pushing itself up out of the pot, the roots were so amazingly contorted, I just let it keep on and on doing it. It grew to be one of the prettiest ones I had, and I sold it for a bunch of money to someone who loved the exposed roots.
