the seed i have was bought from wild boar farms , couple months ago , 43 seeds , 0% germination rate

Well like I said - vendor makes a difference sometimes. Don't know anything about them other than they are a small operation and not one of the big commonly used ones. Be worth while to contact them about refund or replacement as some of the other vendors do. But germination has so many other variables it is difficult to blame it on the seeds alone.

Just a thought. How much chlorine in your water?

zak, I'm growing that one for the first time and got my seeds from Wild Boar. Mine all germinated in a few days and are growing well. I'd contact Wild Boar, seems like they should send you a new pack asap. Before you contact them you might want to test the germination of the ones you have by putting a few between folded damp paper towel and putting it in a sealed plastic bag in a warm location. If they sprout then there is probably something wrong with your seeding mix.

thats exactly what im doing rhoder , paper towel method , in a tupper wear container with a little thermonter inside the tupper wear , same system i use every year

not sure a bout the chlorine,i am useing tap water ,

ill contact wild boar , just seems a bit odd 43 seeds and not one will sprout

If you have germinated other seeds with the same method and the same water, then I would suspect bad seeds. I have had problem with certain varieties myself.

rhoder551 zone 9b-10 is it the bekeley tie dye pink type you have or the green type ?

i finally talked with wild boar , berkeley tie dye is all sold out , so there going to send me some beauty king seeds , hopefully those work out

anyone grow this type before ?

I hate to say it, but I have had better luck with wild boar seeds not purchased from wild boar. Which makes no sense, really. I bought some from baker creek seeds, and had much better germination. You could give them a try.
