I believe there are two different plants there. The blue ones I agree are Spanish Bluebells, Hyacinthoides hispanica.

However, I believe the white ones are Allium triquetrum. If you crush a leaf and smell onions I am correct.

Both are invasive weed species in the UK.

Good call for the white ones, Floral. So easy to 'see' two colours of bluebells.

I have white and blue Spanish bluebells. That looks very much like mine.

The two plants are not the same. Look at the inflorescence on the white ones and compare with the blue. The Bluebells have a raceme, the Allium has an umbel. The Allium also has a spathe, the Bluebell doesn't. The flower stems are hard to see clearly but the Bluebell stem is round in cross section. The Allium is triangular, hence it's common name Three Cornered Leek.

When I originally got these from an old friend, she called them wood hyacinths and there were pink and white ones in the mix too. Now I only have the purple and they are blooming now. Now I wonder what they really are. No onion smell though. She was old when I got them and now I am the old one. ha

Flowergirl70ks, if you read the full thread you'll see that there are two different species of plant in the photo above. The blue/purple ones are Spanish Bluebells, Hyacinthoides hispanica. They also come in pink and white. Yours are Spanish Bluebells, known by various common names including wood hyacinth.

However, the white flowers in the photo above are not Hyacinthoides hispanica. They are Allium triquetrum.
