Hello,

I recently began to rent a new house, and I was wondering if someone could help ID the plant/weeds growing in the garden in the backyard. The roots seem to be very thick, and they have already grown back after digging some up once. Am located in the Philadelphia, PA area. If anyone could help with an ID or any control suggestions, that'd be great! I'd love to be able to figure out a way to deal with these to potentially grow some vegetables.
