High 30s won't harm anything but the rapid change in temp may cause leaf drop, if there are any leaves on them now.

Yes it will recover but it can be setback some as opposed to bringing it back in garage to prevent leaf drop.

Here where i live in midwest its important not to let that happen as the season can be short later in year (fall) when waiting for figs to ripen as opposed to warm climate's such as AR, CA, FL, Etc.

This is reason why i do not risk that especially with my Maderia's which

take the most days to ripen .

I would not bring them outside full time until May or when nighttime lows stay above 40 degrees.

When nights are under 45 the fig tree will survive,with leaves, but will not grow,at all.

For me, my figs are better off outside even if it is in the 40's at night. I get no fruit and barely anything but leaves when left inside for too long... It does me no good to keep them inside cooped up since I am willing to risk them outside in order for them to produce anything but leaves..The more sun, the better off they are, cool or warm for me.
