Post a picture to show how the two materials are to be used, and in what proportion. Both on the house? Or patio/walkways? Right next to each other?

I'd get what you want, trust your instincts. If it puts everything on hold, it's painful but will be worth it to get the right colors.

That's a big difference. Tiffany, did you choose the brick from a website photo, a brochure photo, or from an actual sample?

IMO too much stone

It's far different than the color you chose. I don't think you'll be happy with it if you don't change it. It's worth the delay for the lifetime of the house.

It clashes... I am so sorry. I know it must be frustrating. It looks nothing like your sample.

The color you received has far more red. Hope it works out for you.

After the mortar is added it will tone down the brick....

I find this same situation with tile. Tile suppliers tweak their colors every year but don't necessarily change the sample that they send to the tile stores. And sometimes their "tweaking" is a big color change so this does not surprise me. I went nuts with a remodel with this situation. The tile stores don't always know, either. Even the wholesale places that are supposedly "on top" of it and have interior designers. As others have stated, I wouldn't put up with this, either.

Now see I think that looks good together.

Oh no I don't think it works at all.....hmmmm..the gray stone is very slate more towards a blue...it should be more of a charcoal....from your original post....I really love the light top stone very pretty....not crazy about the lower solid color stone....

It really doesn't work when you see them together. Shop around...you might not have to wait that long unless you are limited by the builder's choices.

Don't like the light brick either. Do you have any other choices? Is this a builder's thing where you have limited choices?

I would go with the lighter brick. If you do it will also go with the darker gray stone. But this must be a personal choice as you will be living in this beautiful house. Good luck & waiting for exactly what you want is well worth it.

I am on such a different page, but have to jump in.

You have many, many roof lines. That, in itself, makes the facade busy. I wouldn't do applied stone of any kind.

Would prefer the house being all one color.
