Here
are some more of the source varieties purchased from Royal Colours a few years
back. These have been the sarting point
for all the hybridisaton attempts, apart from a resident common red and white
variety of unknown provenance. Some have
disappeare without a trace (Misty, Chico, cybister rose, Bogota, Sumatra) but
it is nice to see these ones back again.

In
particular the variety Rembrandt van Rijn disappeared for two years, presumed
dead, but magically appeared gain this year.

Nice
as these are, I’m more interested in getting to see if some of the old hybrids
are viable from year to year, and more particularly, if any of the new
combinations are coming on stream.
