Weed ID and will Killex kill it?

Can someone please tell me the ID on this weed? Leaves and flowers are similar to a dandelion but the leaves stay more flat and aren't as large. The flowers are yellow but are much smaller. The flower stalk is quite thin and solid. I am hoping I can mix up Killex from the concentrated bottle and kill the weeds in my lawn. I am then hoping to over seed with more grass seed. Thanks.

It IS a dandelion of some form - there are at least 60 species and many are common garden weeds. And yes, any broadleaf weed killer will address the problem

To me a Dandelion is a member of the genus Taraxacum (I realise Dandelion is used elsewhere for other yellow Asteraceae). This appears to have hirsute leaves so looks more like a Hypochaeris or similar.

It is a Dandelion, or a False Dandelion.

If only one or so digging the plant out is more environmentally friendly than spraying an expensive plant poison. My yard right now has somewhere around 100 or so in blossom that the bees are working diligently along with many other flowering plants.

I would be lucky to have only 1...the yard is full of them unfortunately
