can cucumbers grow in cow patties ?

I scooped up a few garbage bags of last years cow patties from a field near me. I was told that over winter and rains , that the nutrients would have leeched out, and mostly fiber remained. The guy on the radio horticulture show said I/3 soil to 2/3 cow manure would be good for my heritage cucumbers.

Any comments ?

Sounds good. How is it working? I know if you try to grow garden vegetables in chicken manure the manure is too "hot" and the plants die. On the other hand, dog manure is too weak probably because we feed dogs processed food with lots of wheat. Out here the smell of cows is 'the smell of money'. LOL
