I would like my dining room to be a shade navy blue. I think the trim would better compliment the navy blue if it was off-white/cream. The problem is that the rest of the house has bright white trim. Is it okay to change the trim color in just the dining room to cream/off-white or will it look strange especially in the doorway transitions, etc?
