Love the colors but I would do white curtains. Raise the rod to just below the crown molding and have the curtains just touch the floor.

I like the painting. The painting colors are real pretty nice and soft. I agree white curtains. Then add the teal color from the painting. To me the dark furniture UNmakes the room. It looks like real wood so painting might not be an option. Other wise I'd paint it a cream like in the painting.
