Miami Mami...THANK YOU!!

Patricia...Thank you again for the Tide with a Touch of Clean Breeze Downy powder and the Finish dishwasher tabs with Glass Protection.

The detergent smells great, and works great too. It was a little sudsy, but a lot of detergents have been too sudsy for me for lately. But, after the 3rd Rinse, it was acceptable. Smells GREAT though!!!! Fresh, light and very old fashioned!

The Finish tabs are AWESOME!!! I used Electrasol tabs and then Finish for years, but like many of us, my glasses and glassware got etched very badly. Maybe they have fixed it now?! Everything was left shiny, smooth, polished, CLEAN and perfect using your tabs! Stainless, glasses, casseroles, plates, flatware.....perfect!

Thanks love!!! xo

Oh and re:the tide powder contains a healthy dose of sodium per carbonate so good even for whites ( I add a booster, though). Is a tad sudsy even in my TL, so maybe cut back on the dose for FL?

I spoke with P&G sometime back as to why sodium percarbonate is in this product, after all many people use this on colors and no one wants a bunch of oxygen bleach in colors..I was told there's only a very small amount to neutralize the chlorine in tap water but not enough to be considered a whites detergent, which is what the Tide with Bleach powder is for. Mami, if you've gotton different info. Please let me know. I have a problem washing colors and darks in oxygen bleach, even without a bleach activator, I use hot enough water on colors to activate it, not to mention my soaking adds time its in solution. Thanks Mami

Patricia - the package literally just walked in the door! We use caller service for my company due to the large mail volume so items show "delivered" once they are at our caller receptacle at the main PO. Still much more reliable way for me to get mail than at home, though :)

THANK YOU! The Tide smells just wonderful. Between this and the Mountain Spring, I'm relieved to know there are some modern-day Tide recipes that smell nice. I do love the cleaning power but just couldn't possibly tolerate the smell of today's variety. My water isn't nearly as soft as Larsi's so I think I'll be able to use this, even in my FL. I'll probably be able to "fabricate" a load of dirty laundry tonight or tomorrow for washing.

The Finish tabs look just like the Powerball tabs I've used before, but you said these have GlassProtect or something like that. Will be anxious to see how they work!

I sent both your and Larsi's packages out Friday night. Yours is coming Priority because it was too heavy to send First Class (all that Boil-Out, lol). You should get it today or tomorrow; left the tracking number at home.

Mama, i got my info from tides website. I found it interesting that if what they told about the product only containing a small amount of SP, then why is the bleach activator also included in the ingredients list? I agree the tide w bleach would be the top notch pick for whites, but I have also had great results w this powder along w a scoop of all oxi free/clear for whites, hot water wash and presoak. Perhaps for someone who doesn't have a billion detergents like us weirdos, you *could* use this on whites. You do have me wondering now, does PG give % "s of just how much SP is, in fact, in these powders? Maybe the actual msds?

Oh and Alex, your box is here! Just haven't opened yet as I'm doing homework w the kids right now and opening would be a distraction so I'm waiting but I'm so anxious!! Thank you mr amazing!

Thank you Mami..I didn't know it had a bleach activator. .what's the sense in Tide with Bleach powder than..this irritates me..I don't want bleach on anything but whites and lights. .this is ridiculous to have bleach in a product not labled as a whites detergent. Thank You Mami..I'm calling P&G to complain.

@mamapinky0, not all, but most of P&G's US powders contain Oxygen Bleach & Bleach Activators, in lieu of a heavy duty enzyme cocktail.

Personally, the Powders work great for me. A lot of the times, I don't even pre-treat stains, and like magic.. they are gone. Although.. it's not so great for Whites.

Nothing for heavy duty, but great for everyday laundry. :)

The only stains I really have to pretreat anymore are oil-based stains. Detergents of today in a warm/hot wash work so well all by themselves.

Hey mamap-I decided to do a lil research and found the actual msds sheets at pg.com, the website I was looking at before was pgproductsafety.com

the actual msds sheets are much more difficult to decipher, at least for me right now anyway, but wanted to give you a heads up if you wanted to check them out.

Update on Alex "s gift box! Wow I really love the Cheer powder! It leaves everything clean and smelling exactly the way I think laundry should smell! Fresh and just a light clean scent. Thanks so much for letting me try before buying, Alex! Re-cascade boil out works great in my DW! It cleaned everything including a SS sauté pan that was pretty dried up and crusted! I'm going to keep it in rotation at least 2x a week on heavy cycle to help keep my DW clean. I also love the method tabs, they did a great job, but last night was a lighter load of dishes so haven't really put them to the really dirty test, but will soon! Thank you again Mr AA, I love doing swaps! Have you tried out your Tide yet?

Ok Patricia -- I've used both the products you sent me now! Full disclosure, sweetie: when I opened the bag of Tide Clean Breeze I was not a fan. To me it presented as Nursing Home Nouveau. LOL. But I committed to trying it anyway because you and I have similar palates for wine and food and I thought I had to be wrong. And I'm glad I did! My clothes came out with only a slight fragrance and I have to say it's nothing like what's in the bag: light, clean, and not at all "perfumed." In fact, I think the after-wash scent is quite similar to how Mama's vintage Vivid White smells (Mama, have you tried Clean Breeze?). So I really enjoy it! Thanks :)

I also ran a very full load of dishes last night with the Finish PowerBall w/ GlassProtect. Very good! Everything was clean and the glassware didn't have that sticky feel that sometimes modern detergents leave. I don't know what additional chemical is in these but it works. I have to ask -- was i supposed to take the plastic wrap off? It was very tightly adhered and didn't have a place to tear it so I used a knife to remove, but it did seem like the thin film that easily disintegrates in the wash. Maybe I was supposed to leave it on...

Anyway -- thank you again! :) Happiness all around.

Alex, yes I have current day Clean Breeze Powder with and without a touch of Downy....I also have vintage Clean Breeze Powder. .let me tell you its my very favorate scent of any Tide product since the early 70's...even beating vintage Tide with Bleach powder. ...I'm actually on the hunt for more, I will eventually find a box hidden in the back in some pharmacy. The old Clean Breeze Downy was also my F-A-V-O-R-A-T-E.

Todays Clean Breeze leaves the clothes with a lovely fresh scent, just old fashioned clean.

Yes I do now recall you saying how much you liked it. As good as this is, I can only imagine how good the "vintage" is. Oh, and I owe you a box of the small Vivid White. I know you said you're planning to stash it away so I haven't been in a hurry to send it but I haven't forgotten. Promise.

Thank You Alex...yes I don't plan to open it, I just think that little box is just perfect as a keep sake...lol...agreement was I pay for it and shipping..haha.

Ok, MamaP, it's a deal. I'll let you pay. Do you remember when you could send things COD and pay the delivery person? I don't think that's done anymore...

YW Alex! Yes I'm glad you gave it a try in spite of the" NHN "scent you got out of the bag LOL! It really finishes up well after the wash and dry. Fresh and clean! The new max in 1 10x power dw tabs with the much hyped "glass protect ingredient" come individually wrapped in dissolving film so you are correct about that, I just neglectfully let that part out, sorry doll. No need to unwrap. :)
